The Double Spur Training Center hosts a full training and boarding facility, horse hotel for overnight guests, lessons for you and your horse...and a great place to just be!
 
The Ranch

Enjoy access to a 250 x 140 ft pole fence arena, working pens, indoor heated washroom, indoor round pen, over 300 acres of pasture to ride on, plus a safe and friendly family environment.


HORSE HOTEL

If you're traveling with your horses, the Double Spur Training Center will provide clean, safe surroundings for your horse.

  • Horses are fed twice daily. Supplements are supplied by owner.
  • Basic boarding contract must be signed and adhered to.
  • Horses in barn are turned out in indoor riding area daily when stalls are cleaned.
  • Current bill of health required.

All boarders, whether long or short term, are expected to practice standard equine safety habits around all animals and people.


LESSONS FOR YOU AND YOUR HORSE

Horseriding Lessons

1hr lesson (rider & horse)   $35

  • If horse is in training at the Double Spur Training Center, lessons are $25.00 per hr.
  • Lesson packages available.

HORSE TRAINING
 

  • $700.00 per month
  • In most situations a 2-3 month minimum is required.
  • Feed is included in monthly fee.

Head Trainer Bio:
A Colorado Native, Coleman Walker has over 20 years experience training both horses and mules for ranch work, mountain terrain, and pleasure riding. He trains horses for competitive events, including team-roping and ranch rodeo. In the past four years, he has become involved in the reining & working cow horse discipline. Coleman is a CHA (Certified Horsemanship Association) instructor and gives lessons privately as well as in groups. (extended bio on double spur training page)

Because of the inherent risks in and around equine activities, all riders must sign liability release forms. Under 18 - release forms must be signed by parent or legal guardian. All riders will receive instruction prior to riding. For the proper care of our horses, we have a 250 lb weight limit.
 
Warning - Under Colorado law, an equine professional is not liable for an injury to, or the death of, a participant in equine activities resulting from the inherent risks of equine activities, pursuant to section 13-21-119, Colorado Revised Statutes.
